MantiSpectra announces the launch of the ChipSense™ 130-1.0, a first-of-its-kind miniaturized spectral sensing IC. This III-V solid-state, near-infrared (NIR) multi-channel sensor is engineered to deliver real-time, low-cost, contactless, and non-destructive material analysis for professional and high-end consumer applications.
Housed in a compact 9x9mm package, the ChipSense™ 130-1.0 integrates 16 photodetectors, each with a pre-defined multipeak frequency response covering a wide spectral range of 500–1700 nm, a critical range for analyzing the unique properties of carbon-based, natural, and biologically derived materials. By capturing rich “spectral fingerprints,” the ChipSense™ 130-1.0, combined with trained ML/AI algorithms, enables accurate classification and quantification of biomaterial characteristics.
This innovation opens up a wide array of applications across various industries. When integrated into handheld devices, IoT sensors, or production equipment, the ChipSense™ 130-1.0 provides real-time insights into material properties during production, processing, and distribution. This capability enhances quality control, improves production efficiency, and strengthens traceability monitoring.
Giuseppe Coppola, Chief Growth Officer at MantiSpectra, stated:
“After more than a decade of development, the launch of the ChipSense™ 130-1.0 marks a significant milestone for MantiSpectra. This product shows our commitment to making spectroscopy accessible for diverse use cases, whether in industrial settings, at home, or on the move.”
The ChipSense™ 130-1.0 is now available for testing and integration. To support its adoption, MantiSpectra offers a suite of data acquisition devices and software to enable rapid evaluation of the ChipSense™ technology for specific applications and use cases.
