Optical spectroscopy is a widely recognized non-destructive technique for identifying and characterizing organic materials by analyzing their interaction with light at specific wavelengths, typically in the Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) range.
For decades, the size and cost of bulky-optics implementations have been the key limiting factors keeping this powerful modality confined to laboratory settings.
4K-MEMS and MantiSpectra were founded independently a few years ago, driven by the same vision: democratizing spectroscopy through chip-scale implementations.
Each took on one half of the mission: 4K-MEMS focused on broadband 800-5000nm light generation, MantiSpectra on broadband 500-1700nm light detection.
We're excited to announce that the two halves, 4K-MEMS TLED and MantiSpectra ChipSense™, have now been tested together with very promising results, leading to a partnership between 4K-MEMS and MantiSpectra to accelerate the realization of their shared vision.
The result: a broadband 800-1700nm hyperspectral optical front-end in two small chips, both producible at high volume and at price points that enables accurate, real-time, non-destructive materials characterization for professional and consumer products.
